What is included in an AIMSweb subscription?
For a single, per-student annual subscription fee you receive:
  • Assessments for reading, language arts (spelling and writing), math, early numeracy and early literacy skills— with available screening tools and interventions for behavior and social skills (Grades K–12). Spanish versions are also available for early literacy, reading, and math.
  • The power of aimsweb’s robust online data management and reporting system
  • Browser-based scoring (score most aimsweb assessments real-time using a tablet, phone, or laptop)
  • Access to training materials (training provided by our Certified aimsweb® Trainers is also available at an additional charge)
  • Technical documentation

Scoring and Administration Training

Free training is available that will instruct participants on how to properly administer and score specified modules.After training is complete each module comes with an examination that must be passed with an 80% proficiency in order to receive certificate of completion. Each video emphasizes very important factors:
  • Preparation and materials
  • Adherence to standardized instructions 
  • Scoring measures properly and avoiding common mistakes 
  • Obtaining inter-rater reliability among trainees 
  • Practicing the administration and scoring of selected measure

Software Training

Videos are available to instruct teachers how to navigate the aimsweb 2.0 software from the perspective of a teacher or manager via http://www.aimsweb.com/training with required login and password provided by school district. 

Who will train you?

Pearson Certified aimsweb Trainers (CAT)

All certified trainers are listed on the aimsweb website. CATs are available to provide training and consultation services in any state. All CATs have strong backgrounds in education, assessment and student learning. They have also completed the necessary training and certification as well as continuing to participate in training experiences to keep their certification up to date. "The Pearson CAT endorsement ensures those who request training services through Pearson, Inc. that their trainer is proficient in all areas of the aimsweb assessment system, and is up-to-date regarding the pressing issues facing educators today. It guarantees that the trainer capably demonstrates familiarity with related research and federal law, and excels in his/her ability to train and lead individuals in becoming proficient aimsweb users". CATs also have unique experiences that make them experts in areas such as ELL/ESL/Bilingual education and RTI. This will provide a unique training experience that can be tailored to each school depending on the demographic.
